Pool to Pool

The first event of the 2024 TOWSA Open Water Swim Series is the Pool to Pool. Proudly sponsored by North Queensland Insurance Brokers (NQIB). The event offers two ocean swim distances: 1km and 2km.
The 2km Pool to Pool event will commence at the Rockpool on the northern end of the Strand and finish at Tobruk Pool on the southern end of the Strand.
The 1km event will commence at Strand Park Beach and finish at Tobruk Pool.
ON THE DAY
Registration opens at 6:15am at the Rockpool end of the Strand.
The event briefing will be held at 6:45am on the beach near the Rockpool for all swimmers.
Following the briefing, the 1km swimmers will walk to the Strand Park Beach to commence their event.
The event commences at 7:00am

BAG DROP
Bag drop will be provided. Please ensure your bag is small, securely closed and clearly labelled with your name.

WETSUIT POLICY
Wetsuits are permitted to be worn for all swims, please nominate in the wetsuit category when registering for this swim.
